Session 1
Champions of Fallengrove

The night begins with all the soon to be champions locked in a dungeon:

Cappon, the human Slayer whose talents have gotten him into trouble with the local nobles.
Mordekai, the dwarf Paladin who spreads the word of Moradin wherever he goes.
Belgo Underwood, the halfing Gun Slinger the one whohad trouble with the town guard for selling stolen goods.
Richard, the human War Priest that has a need to go to Khordavia to stop Zynth, in Pelors name.
Dreager the Grey, the human Arcanist that is not afraid to get ugly and use a sword.
Beauregard, the halfling Druid who has the charisma to move crowds.

None of the soon to be’s were able to get out and were trying to figure out how to avoid the beheadings. After they figure out why they were all there they hear a laugh from Xandir the local merchant. He explained to them them that he could get them out if they help him figure out how to get rid of the Lord of Fallengrove. All of the heroes go with Xandir. They teleport to the inside of the Lost Ogre Tavern. He explains to them that they will come to him in the morning to see him and tell them their plan. The Heroes are sitting at the table and they start to go and change, some go to sleep, others talk to their Gods. A few stand below and Rodend walks in and goes to sit in the back. As Richard sees him he charges and hits him in the face with a mug then flips a table onto him. As the commotion goes on others from upstairs come down. Cappon has a glass shard from a window from upstairs he begins to stab Rodend until he dropped his rapier. Rodend soon became unconscious. There were some bystanders who seemed to draw attention. Coming from the keep was Gruk, coming with a torch. While in the tavern the plan to take Rodend out to the woods was underway. Cappon, Beauregard, Richard, and Belgo all went out to the woods while Mordekai was captured by Gruk and put back in the dungeon. Dreager was asleep through the whole thing and then was awaken by Gruk. Dreager simply told the truth to the not very well worded questions by Gruk, and went back to bed. Cappon, Beauregard, Richard and Belgo were taking turns watching Rodend through the night. Through each of their watches Rodend was telling them all that they were going to die. Come morning all of the heroes are rested and decide to go see Xandir. Beauregard decides to stay back and watch Rodend. Dreager goes to see Xandir but doesn’t know the plan. When the others arrive Xandir speaks to them inside of his Carriage. They explain the idea and they decide to go with it. Xandir gives the go ahead to kill Rodend. They sit in the crowd and watch the medicine show then Gruk walks up with 5 guards. He sees the medicine show and believes in the product. A little while longer and Lord Bratched comes out with 3 guards. As Bratched gets closer the Heroes get into position to strike. Bratched gets hit with a pellet by Belgo. Then he is attacked by almost all of the heroes, and barely makes it back to the keep alive. The Heroes turn their attention to Gruk who has just got into a fight with Dreager. Beauregard persuades people in the crowd grab ahold of Gruk. The group kills Gruk and make their way to the keep. They burst in and towns people are tearing the place up. WHen the heroes go inside Bratched’s room, they see him sitting in a large chair with an Accuser Devil over his shoulder. Richard charges and kills Lord Bratched even after being told he was being controlled by the Devil. Through a hard fight and injuries and near deaths the heroes defeat the Accuser Devil. After they beat it, they all saw white and heard the voice of Pelor, who told them that they are the heroes who will be able to defeat Zynth. He tells them that they know how to get the items. the Heroes go to Rodend’s room and get the key to the safe. Heores go down to the dungeon to see Mordekai chained up again. Mordekai shows the rest where the secret bricks were to the safe. The Heroes open the safe and find the beginning items of their regalia.
What will they do with their new power? How will they replace Lord Bratched? Will Beauregard get cured from his disease? We will soon find out on next weeks episode.

Almost a thousand years have passed and there you are. Locked in a dungeon with 5 other people. You know why you are here, and you are sentenced to death at the end of the night. The Lord of the keep you are at, Fallengrove, has decided that your crime was punishable by death. It is known that he is mad, and kills for the smallest of crimes. But through fear he is able to keep “order”.
You are a nobody, you may have your own thoughts on the world and what you want. But now, you are stuck in a dungeon. What are you going to do?

995 ago there was a group of heroes who defeated an evil Sorcerer named Zynth, and his attempts to rule the world. The heroes fought valiantly and were able to banish the great sorcerer and his undead army back to the Fourth Layer of Hell. There he will wait for 1000 years, getting stronger to claim what he believes is his. The heroes who fought died in combat while battling Zynth.
One Hero survived. The storyteller of the group. A Bard named Bard. He would write many stories of their adventures and how they were able to get out of many situations. He had one Book that contained all the stories they ever had. He would spread the word of the great heroes and how they escaped death multiple times in their efforts to battle Zynth.
Zynth was able to draw power from any he wished. He was able to unite both Devils and Demons while banished. He is held as the highest magic user in all planes of existence. Others who tell the story of the battle see it as a fluke that they were able to banish him. They say that the only way the heroes were able to get that close was because of their Artifacts.
The heroes were adorned with their Artifacts in preparation for battle. The strong relics were used for them to try to equal the power of Zynth. Each of the heroes had a set of items that would complete their regalia. Any amount of items from 3-5 for each of the champions. These Relics were picked up after the battle by Bard. In his last years known he has hidden the artifacts. He said, “The items will need to choose again.” Meaning, that when Zynth comes back, the heroes who would be able to defeat him, would find these Items. Along with these items, Bard was able to find two items that belonged to Zynth’s subordinates; Avazul and Coldsteel.
Avazul is known for being able lead massive amounts of undead. While Coldsteel is known for combat prowess. They have made a portion of the world known for being evil.
Khordavia, A place in the world of Etheria that gives no fucks. For nearly 1000 years it has been the source of anything and everything that is evil. Some believe that in the middle of Khordavia, there is a great dead tree. And that tree is believed to be the point where Zynth will return. Oracles have foreseen this event and say that the stars will be aligned just right on the day Zynth returns. And if he is able to come out through that gate in time, he will be able to open all of the Gates of Hell. And he will be able to join the Gods as one of them.
Zynth has relationships with some of the Gods and he himself wants to become one. He is one of few who is able to communicate with Gods. Some believe it is his Amulet around his neck, though no one is certain. Many Gods do not wish to have Zynth join them. Even though he is of power, They do not believe him to be ready. Many have risen against him and have wanted to fight him. However, if they were to lose, he would become a God. They must challenge him in order for him to become a God, and he must win. Pelor, The Sun God, is the strong opposing Force to Zynth becoming a God. His Clerics and Paladins are known for being Great Warriors in Combat. To become a true Cleric of Pelor you must have an interaction with him.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
